Schmidt T et al. – Most findings pointed to an underlying enteric neuropathy. Intestinal prolonged–ambulatory manometry adds valuable information to the pathophysiologic understanding of functional chronic constipation of STC– and NTC–type, however there are no distinct manometric features to differentiate between both.
