Vanguru VR et al. - Perforated gastric ulcer is uncommon. Omental patch repair was associated with faster operating time, lower morbidity rate and similar mortality rate compared to that of partial gastrectomy. Omental patch repair merits consideration as the first line therapy in patients with perforated gastric ulcer.
