Characterisation of the Timing and Prevalence of Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Expression Changes in Esophageal Carcinogenesis
The Journal of Pathology, 06/26/2012
Paterson AL et al. – The authors provide evidence for a frequent and early role for multiple different receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) in esophageal carcinogenesis. Given the early timing of receptor deregulation, inhibiting RTKs in preinvasive disease may also represent a novel and effective chemopreventative strategy.
