Increasing the recipient-benefit to donor-risk ratio by lowering the graft size requirement for living donor liver transplantation
Liver Transplantation, 03/29/2012
Chan SC et al. – Twice as many living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) could have been performed by lowering the graft–weight–to–standard–liver–volume ratio (GW/SLV) requirement incrementally by every 5%. Lowering the graft size requirement can improve the applicability of LDLT and hence reduce donor risk.
