Job Description
The hospital is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to establish practice in one of the fastest growing counties in the State. This opportunity can be supported by a competitive Income Guarantee or employment. The city is locatedon the Mississippi River approximately one hour north of Memphis. Population for 2006 from the Bureau of Census is estimated at 57,380, a 12% increase from 2000. The county has been voted the number three safest rural community in America by The Progressive Farmer, an agricultural and country living magazine which has been in publication since 1886. Many people are relocating to here to enjoy the quieter, less expensive lifestyle while still being close to the nearby metropolitan area. The community has a strong educational system. School options for families include public, private, home, and alternative schools. Recent changes in the public schools have positioned the area as a leader and innovator in education. A new magnet school is a county school focusing on the arts. College and technical schools are here in town and the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee - Martin are within an easy drive. Here you will be able to live and work in some of the best locations this great mid-south city has to offer. Memphis has everything: attractive climate, world-famous attractions, the wonderful music and nightlife of Beale Street,five-star hotels and restaurants, unique shops, designer malls, big time sports, reasonable cost of living and - best of all - friendly people!
