Lee JH et al. – Although this was a negative study, the findings disclosed a trend toward enhanced antiplatelet effects when cilostazol was added to aspirin in ischaemic stroke patients. Combination of aspirin and cilostazol might be a treatment option in the ischaemic stroke patients with AR.

Recent many research reported that aspirin non-responder and clopidogrel non-responder are more high prevalence in Asians compared to Caucasian. Cilostazol is the anti-platelet agent without increasing bleeding tendency. Cilostazol can be one of the attractive regimen for secondary prevention of ischemic stroke in aspirin non-responder who is more common ICH risk than Caucasian
