Pediatric Burn Injuries Treated in US Emergency Departments Between 1990 and 2006
Pediatrics, 10/30/09
D'Souza AL et al. – Burn–related injuries are a serious problem for individuals <= 20 years of age and are potentially preventable. Children <6 years of age consistently sustained a disproportionately large number of injuries during the study period. Increased efforts are needed to improve burn–prevention strategies that target households with young children.
