Challenges of Genomics and Proteomics in Nephrology
Renal Failure, 10/30/09
Stojnev S et al. – Proteomics has gained considerable interest in this field, as a new and promising analytical approach to identify new uremic toxins. The urinary proteome as a tool for biomarker discovery is still in its early phase. A major challenge will be the integration of proteomics with genomics data and their functional interpretation in conjunction with clinical results and epidemiology.
