Lehmann C et al. – Adolescents who do not seek appropriate preventive healthcare are at risk for significant morbidity and possible mortality. Increasing adolescent adherence to recommended vaccine schedules presents a challenge and opportunity for pediatricians and public health advocates. This article outlines barriers to vaccine compliance among adolescents and discusses strategies to increase vaccine uptake.
