Sciubba D et al. – The purpose of this review is to summarize the current recommendations for radiographic evaluation of patients with blunt cervical spine trauma.
- A number of guidelines exist for the evaluation of blunt cervical trauma patients.
- The guidelines have evolved to be more consistent in their recommendations for evaluation of cervical trauma.
- Dynamic flexion–extension radiographs are used less frequently than in the past but should be considered for select patients.
