New medications in hepatology are constantly being tested in clinical trials and are now being rapidly approved by the FDA with entry into the American treatment market. At this conference those new medications that are available, or will soon be available will be reviewed, and their relative values will be discussed. The results of trials using new drugs to treat chronic viral hepatitis B and C will be reviewed and the clinical use of these drugs will be explained in detail.
