Attwa E et al. – The significant increase of tumor necrosis factor–α (TNF–α)in vitiligo lesions compared with perilesional and healthy skin suggests a possible involvement of this cytokine in the depigmentation of vitiligo. The increase in TNF–α expression after narrow–band ultraviolet B phototherapy suggests another role in repigmentation.
