Virtual Monochromatic Spectral Imaging for the Evaluation of Hypovascular Hepatic Metastases: The Optimal Monochromatic Level With Fast Kilovoltage Switching Dual-Energy Computed Tomography

Investigative Radiology, 04/26/2012

Virtual monochromatic spectral (VMS) imaging at approximately 70 keV (69–70 keV) yielded the lowest image noise of the liver parenchyma and a high contrast–to–noise ratio (CNR) for hypovascular hepatic metastases in the portal–dominant phase.
