The influence of smoking on endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair

Smokers need more percutaneous transluminal angioplasty procedures and stents during endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). They have fewer late type II endoleaks during follow–up; however, smokers should be closely monitored because they have an increased risk of stent graft migration.
