Accurately describe skin lesions• Use an algorithmic approach to dermatologic diagnosis• Recognize serious dermatologic diseases, such as bullous diseases, drug eruptions, and exanthems to determine the initial approach or referral strategy• Confi dently diagnose and treat common skin diseases such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczematous diseases, apthous ulcers, cutaneous ulcers, and pigmentary conditions• Recognize benign and malignant skin tumors and know the best modes of treatment• Recognize when and how to perform skin biopsies and simple procedures.
