Reilly BK et al. – After obtaining the computed tomography scan, the patient underwent endoscopic sinus surgery, with removal of the uncinate, enlargement of the diseased natural ostium of the maxillary sinus, and removal of the diseased bone chip. This eliminated the nidus for infection, ultimately restoring mucociliary flow.
