| The aim of this study was to highlight to all healthcare workers the imprtance of asking patients about their use of alternative and/or complementary medicines. There is perhaps an unrecognised risk to patients who use these forms of therapy which can in turn interact with conventional medicnes leading to potential complications especially in a surgical patient. |
