Ronen O et al. – Nasogastric tubes are inserted for a variety of indications; they are used as a feeding tube, as a monitoring device for gastric content, as a means of removing gastric contents, and in many other aspects of patient care in almost every hospital department. The authors report a case of a fatal mediastinal complication secondary to a nasopharyngeal perforation.
