Lactic dehydnogenase activity in head and neck cancer
Indian Journal of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, 07/08/09
Yadav SPS et al. - Serum and tissue lactic dehydrogenase levels were estimated in patients with head and neck cancer. The levels were found to be significantly higher both in serum as well as tissue of these patients. The rise in LDH levels in patients with head and neck cancer suggests increased rate of glycolysis in the tissue and that the rise in serm could be due to its release from the tissue.
