Rance G et al. - Results for 9 of the ten implanted children with auditory neuropathy/dys-synchrony were similar to those of the general population of paediatric implant recipients. Results for the group of aided auditory neuropathy/dys-synchrony subjects were comparable to those for their implanted counterparts suggesting that affected children should not automatically be considered cochlear implant candidates.
