Steiger JD et al. - The rhinoplasty surgeon often encounters the need to utilize nasal grafts when performing primary or revision surgery. While there are a myriad of grafting materials to choose from, long-term success has been achieved with autogenous cartilage. In revision surgery, septal cartilage is often unavailable and the surgeon must look to alternate donor sites. Auricular cartilage is a versatile graft material that can be successfully used to treat a wide range of nasal defects without major complications.
