Serum glucose and insulin are associated with QTc and RR intervals in non-diabetic elderly
European Journal of Endocrinology, 11/10/09
van Noord C et al. – The authors demonstrated in this population–based study that impaired fasting glucose and hyperinsulinemia are associated with a significantly increased QTc–interval and with significant shortening of the RR interval. Both a prolonged QTc as well as a shortened RR interval are associated with an increased risk of SCD.
