Hyperglycemia-Induced Reactive Oxygen Species Increase Expression of RAGE and RAGE Ligands
Diabetes, 10/28/09
Yao D et al. – These results show that hyperglycemia–induced ROS production increases expression of RAGE and RAGE ligands. This effect is mediated by ROS–induced methylglyoxal, the major substrate of glyoxalase 1.
