Camhi SM et al. – Women with metabolic syndrome receiving the diet component had greater CRP compared with those who did not. Change in CRP was not significantly different between intervention groups in men overall, women overall, men with or without metabolic syndrome, or women without metabolic syndrome. Low–fat diet may be the most effective treatment for reducing CRP in women with metabolic syndrome.
