Greco D et al. – Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a serious and not uncommon problem for diabetes mellitus pts. This syndrome is closely related to diabetic neuropathy and probably to metabolic factors in its pathogenesis. RLS diagnosis is often delayed; however, because RLS can be effectively treated, better education of the general medical community is necessary for greater awareness of RLS.
