Free Abstract

The Government and HSE have been condemned for their inaction on investing in better diabetes care in this country. A delegation representing diabetes professionals and patients told the Oireachtas Health Committee that failure to diagnose early and control type 2 diabetes is causing blindness, amputation, heart disease and kidney disease in Irish patients as a result of diabetic complications.
