Greenhagen RM et al. – The results of this study suggest that lumbar bone mineral density (BMD) does not reflect peripheral BMD in patients with diabetes mellitus and reconstructive–stage Charcot’s neuroarthropathy (CN). This study has clinical implications when reconstructive osseous surgery is planned in patients with CN.
