Krause JC et al. – Peripheral blood cells obtained from the patient and her brother did not respond to stimulation with either interleukin-1beta or lipopolysaccharide. Sequencing of the interleukin-1 receptor–associated kinase-4 gene revealed 2 novel mutations.
