Trauma courses with cadaver dissections
BMJ Career Focus, 09/28/09
Lidder S – Many junior surgical trainees find it difficult to gain sufficient experience in operative techniques because of the restructuring of working days following the introduction of the European Working Time Directive. Often orthopaedic courses offer dry bone teaching, and only a few cadaveric courses allow the surgeon to appreciate both soft tissue handling and planes of dissection. The trauma courses with cadaver dissections, run by the AO Foundation, offer a great opportunity for trainees.
