Geppert A – From a therapeutic viewpoint, revascularization/reperfusion in ischemia–triggered heart failure and antiarrhythmic agents in arrhythmia–triggered heart failure are essential pillars in the therapy of acute decompensated heart failure. Pharmaceutical treatment with inotropic agents and vasopressors can also be viewed as basic in the treatment of severe refractory acute decompensated heart failure.
