Iragorri S et al. - Leptospirosis was suspected and eventually confirmed. Although leptospirosis is uncommon in temperate climates, it is occurring in increasing numbers of participants in water sports, making it a consideration in the differential diagnosis of hemolytic uremic syndrome.
