Heuer L et al. - In patients with septic shock, the origin of infection is often initially unknown. A search for the focus has to be conducted. Rare causes of sepsis should not be overlooked. The authors report on the successful treatment of septic shock in a patient with acute bacterial prostatitis after vascular graft implantation.
