The COL1A1 gene and acute soft tissue ruptures
British Journal of Sports Medicine, 02/09/09
Collins M et al. - Although these data should be interpreted with caution due to the low frequency of this rare genotype, this combined analysis indicates that the TT genotype appears to be protective against acute soft tissue ruptures. The authors propose that this sequence variant is the first genetic element to be incorporated into multifactorial models predicting the acute soft tissue ruptures.
