Alsinnawi M et al. - A 16-year-old female presented with acute-onset abdominal pain and an initial diagnosis of midcycle pain. Subsequent pelvic ultrasound and diagnostic laparoscopy showed a large mass in the pouch of Douglas. The patient underwent a laparotomy and excision of a mass from a loop of jejunum. This case highlights the difficulties in diagnostic differentiation relating to large pelvic masses in young females.
