Morgan J et al. - Endometrial carcinoma is the most common gynecologic cancer in the United States. Uterine papillary serous carcinoma comprises approximately 5–10% of endometrial carcinomas. This aggressive carcinoma typically occurs in older women, characteristically arising on atrophic endometrium. This frequently is associated with early extrauterine spread and, infrequently, with peritoneal dissemination.
