Leow MKS et al. - Although the majority of acute abdomen in thyrotoxicosis was medical in nature, The authors' experience indicates that surgical conditions were not uncommon. Thus, serious causes requiring life-saving surgery should be excluded before attributing it to medical acute abdomen.
