The American Cancer Society and Dartmouth–Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center celebrated the first anniversary of the American Cancer Society Patient Navigator Program in New Hampshire. The two organizations partner in providing a Patient Navigator, Mel Pepin, at the Cancer Center’s facility in Manchester. American Cancer Society Patient Navigators are cancer education and support specialists who serve as personal guides to patients and caregivers facing the psychosocial, emotional, and financial challenges that cancer can bring. The service is free and confidential, and places an emphasis on assisting the medically underserved.
