New data presented at the American Diabetes Association 69th Annual Scientific Sessions showed that initial treatment with JANUMET provided greater blood sugar improvements in drug-naive patients with type 2 diabetes, compared with metformin alone. In separate post-hoc analyses, data pooled from studies of 104 weeks in duration showed JANUVIA, when taken alone or in combination with metformin, provided significant blood sugar lowering, which was sustained over two years.
