President Obama has named Aneesh Chopra as chief technology officer for the administration, and Jeffrey Zients as chief performance officer. Chopra will promote technological innovation to help meet administration goals for job creation, reducing health care costs and homeland security. Zients, also named a deputy director at the Office of Management and Budget, will work to streamline government processes, cut costs and identify best practices.
