Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq:GILD) announced the promotion of Andrew Cheng, MD, PhD to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Development Operations. In this role, Dr. Cheng will be responsible for Gilead's biometrics, clinical operations, drug safety and public health, project and portfolio management, and regulatory affairs activities, reporting to Norbert Bischofberger, PhD, Executive Vice President, Research and Development and Chief Scientific Officer. With his promotion, Dr. Cheng will join Gilead's Executive Committee.
