Identification and quantitation of vitamins K1 and K3 in cosmetic products for facial skin protection
International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 10/23/09
De OD et al. – A simple and rapid analytical method was developed for the determination of vitamins K1 and K3 in facial anti–rash creams. The procedure is based on an ultrasonic extraction of the cosmetic sample with dimethylacetamide, in the presence of an internal standard, followed by HPLC separation. The proposed method has been successfully applied for the analysis of commercial samples of creams.
