Expert Review of Dermatology, 10/14/09
Antiga E et al. – Linear immunoglobulin A bullous dermatosis (LABD) is a rare acquired, heterogeneous, subepidermal blistering disease characterized by linear IgA deposits at the dermal–epidermal basement membrane zone, often with circulating IgA antibodies in the basement membrane zone. Linear IgA disease shares many characteristics with other subepidermal bullous diseases, mainly bullous pemphigoid and dermatitis herpetiformis.
