Pennacchia I et al. – The authors report a unique case of papular mucinosis on genital skin. The lesion was initially misdiagnosed and mistreated as molluscum contagiosum. The histological sections showed a large amount of mucin with sparse plump fibroblasts. The papules resolved in a few weeks, indicating a very rare form of the adult variant of self–healing papular mucinosis.
