Histopathology of a granulomatous lobular panniculitis in acute Q fever: a case report
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 09/22/09
Souraud JB et al. – Q fever (Q for query or Queensland, the state in Australia where the disease was first recognized) is an ubiquitous zoonosis caused by Coxiella burnetii. It is widely regarded as underdiagnosed and underreported because of its self–limited course, the global lack of reporting requirements and its diverse variety of symptoms. Only recently have cutaneous signs other than rashes been regarded as part of Q fever presentation.
