Al–Niaimi F et al. – Necrobiotic xanthogranuloma (NXG) is a rare granulomatous condition that is often associated with a paraproteinaemia and in some cases multiple myeloma. Treatment is therefore aimed at the underlying associated haematological abnormality. However, isolated NXG cases have been reported.
