Exclusive Author Commentary

Scalp psoriasis is very common among psoriasis sufferers and difficult to treat. Psorent is a coal tar containing solution that is very effective (it outperformed calcipotriol cream on moderate psoriasis) and its aesthetics are highly patient acceptable (study results pending publication: Am J Clin Dermatol). Psorent’s fast-absorbing solution vehicle makes it a good treatment option for use on the scalp. We’re happy that the results of our study indicated no staining of light and color-processed hair making it a viable treatment alternative for scalp psoriasis.
