Diffey B - A simple method is described that allows the estimation of daily ambient erythemal ultraviolet exposure from the ultraviolet index. The estimation can be performed quickly using only a calculator (or even mental arithmetic) and is applicable in those situations where access to computers and the internet is not feasible.
