Sagi L et al. - The authors present a case of a 79-year-old man with neuroendocrine carcinoma of the pancreas and liver metastasis, who developed painful subcutaneous nodules on his shins. Laboratory values included a raised lipase level with normal amylase level and peripheral eosinophilia. The patient was treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, dexamethasone and antibiotics, with resolution of the dermatological symptoms.
