| Detection of arthritis in psoriasis individuals is often delayed. Furthermore, as with rheumatoid arthritis, it seems difficult to detect PsA at an early manifestation time. The GEPARD-Questionnaire is answered soley by the patient with psoriasis himself in the waiting area of the dermatology practice. This gives us the chance to detect PsA, at earlier manifestation times, without further time-consuming work-up for the dermatologist, and the great chance to intensify the cooperation between deramtologists and rheumatologists. This is especially important, for additional systemic therapy of Ps and PsA making successful treatment more likely. However, systemic side-effects, like infections, are becoming more and more an issue were rheumatologists and dermatologists need to work together more closely in order to give the best care and safety to the patient. |
