| the use of cheap anti tumor necrosis factors (pentoxyphillin and sulphazalazine) proved to be good adjuvant therapy for treatment of autoimmune bullous disorders including (PV, bullous pemphigoid, cicatricial pemphigoid and epidermolysis bullosa acquisita): 1) with use of PTX and SZS patients do not have to use daily steroids (the full regimen is illustrated in the paper) 2) the use of both PTX and SZS is not associated with any major side effects and is very safe to use 3) Recently we have PTX infusion 400 mg IV T.i.d for the treatment of refractory cases of PV and cicatricial pemphigoid with impressive initial results therefore both PTX and SZS proved to be very effective anti TNF agents and steroid sparing agents |
